VETERANS PROGRAM
Judi’s Wigs has a long history of being owned and operated by US Military Veterans with the current owner and operator being a Female US Airforce Veteran and a member of VFW Post 557. As such, it is our top priority that we take care of our Veterans in the community. Here at Judi’s Wigs, we have made it a mission to serve our veteran community with their hair alternative needs and related services, including but not limited to installing, styling, selecting, and maintaining your nonsurgical alternative hair.
Many are not aware that with recent changes to the VA Health care coverage, Veterans are now eligible for 100% coverage for “Cranial Prosthetics”, which is a fancy phrase for wigs, toupees, or hair systems.
To get started, you need to visit your local VA Administrations office or talk to your Primary Care Manager (PCM) if you are already enrolled in a VA Health care system to determine your medical eligibility. Once you have started the Cranial Prosthesis process, the VA will then contact the service provider (Judi’s Wigs).
The Veteran has the right to choose which provider they would like to see in their area. If there is not a listed provider in the Veteran’s area, they may choose a provider of their preference, and may qualify for certain travel reimbursements. It is now time to shop for your perfect alternative hair. If during your shopping experience you are not able to find a Cranial Prosthesis piece that suits your needs, we will custom order one for you. Once the ordered hair piece arrives, an appointment will be made for the final fitting. During this appointment we will ensure proper fitting to your unique personal style and color preference. Judi’s Wigs employees are fully trained Cosmetologists Licensed by the Oklahoma State Board of Cosmetology, and we can customize your alternative hair inside our full-service salon at Judi’s Wigs.
